Join Us
We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs who are as fascinated by the functions of macromolecular machines as we are and who are passionate about deciphering how such multi-component machines work at the mechanistic and structural level. Students should be interested in learning biochemical or structural approaches to address fundamental biological questions, while postdoctoral candidates should have a strong background in molecular biology, general biochemistry and/or biophysics. Prior experience in structural biology is not required but postdoctoral candidates must be eager and enthusiastic to learn structural techniques under our guidance.
Undergraduate Students
Please send an email to Franziska to inquire about possible projects and open positions. Interested students should be willing to join us for a minimum of three months.
Graduate Students
We accept Ph.D. students through Yale's combined PhD program in Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS). If you are interested in our research, we encourage you to apply to the Biochemistry, Quantitative Biology, Biophysics and Structural Biology (BQBS) track.
Postdoctoral Candidates
Highly motivated postdoctoral candidates who have a strong interest in integrating biochemical, structural and cell-based approaches to address fundamental biological problems are encouraged to apply. Please email your application (including a motivation letter describing your past research experience and your future research interests, as well as your CV) to Franziska.
